Demonstration / Test Environment
For a demonstration/test environment, all components of the Symaptic Web and Mobile Package can be installed on a single server. The Symaptic Web and Mobile Package has been prepared for a virtually drag and drop installation on a 64 bit Windows operating system. All components do, however, operate in 32 bit and/or Linux operating systems, however, further configuration and/or downloading and configuration of the 32 bit version of the different components will be required.

* Windows 64 bit is recommended to get started quickly as the Symaptic Package has been precompiled for the Windows 64 bit environments
Production Environment
Depending on the number of users and the extent to which the Symaptic components will be accessed, a single server environment such as that described above in the Demonstration/Test Environment may be sufficient. Where heavy use is required, improved performance will be achieved by separating out the different components onto different servers – see the example below. It is recommended you start small and increase the servers and their specifications as and when required.
